Although the universe is ablaze with more colours than the human eye can detect, we can also learn to see the world in new ways by returning to the roots of the art of photography, to the art of black and white, and other monochromes like sepia (and bi-level). This photo blog celebrates that spectrum of colours ranging from the darkest monochromes to the most brilliant whites, and everything in between.

This fish now reposes in our compost bin (as all our neighbours are aware). The picture was taken after Ken propped it up on a Plexiglas table for a fascinating photoshoot with a model. I processed my shot so that it is as sinister as I can make it, though I should possibly crop out more of the light at the top and bring just a bit more light under the mouth. Thoughts?
I applied both of my suggestions, cropping and adding more fill light. I think the result is still sufficiently sinister.
