Although the universe is ablaze with more colours than the human eye can detect, we can also learn to see the world in new ways by returning to the roots of the art of photography, to the art of black and white, and other monochromes like sepia (and bi-level). This photo blog celebrates that spectrum of colours ranging from the darkest monochromes to the most brilliant whites, and everything in between.

A wonderfully intriguing photograph. So many stories are going through my head about these people; especially the center 3. Could you share more about how these people were encountered??
Most of my 'people shots' are casual shots taken on the streets. This was in a busy Saturday morning open market in Carcassonne in the south of France. My 135mm f/2 let me shoot from relative safety. People are crowded between tables of produce. The beautiful lady with the scarf is my wife. It was obviously breezy and the sunshine was very bright (almost harsh).
