This is my favourite of the series. I am attracted to the old film noir style of photography, especially the blacks which are unyielding. Excellent lighting, Ken! Studio 16 is very fortunate to get such excellent photos.
This is a dress rehearsal, so I get no credit for the lighting -- hanging above his head are about forty massivelights, all connected to a massive lighting board operated by the lighting designer and two technicians. I just scramble around the theater in the dark, trying to stay out of the way and get focus and framing at ISO 3200...
